Metastatic mesothelioma refers to an actively spreading cancer within the body. Indications arise in regions unrelated to mesothelioma, like the spinal area or the throat. The presence of any metastatic indications signifies the spread of mesothelioma.

Several indications of metastatic mesothelioma to keep in mind encompass:

Hemoptysis – The act of coughing up or expelling blood
Laryngeal Nerve Palsy – Impairment to the throat, resulting in voice box paralysis and hoarseness
Nerve-related problems – Abnormal functioning of nerves in the arms or spinal cord
Horner’s Syndrome – A cluster of eye-related problems including a drooping eyelid, constriction of pupils, reduced tear production, and redness of the conjunctiva
