Continuing Occupational Hazards: Asbestos Exposure Continues to Loom



Despite its potential dangers, asbestos exposure remains a persistent threat in the United States workplace, primarily because asbestos has not been banned nationwide.

Back in 1989, the EPA made an effort to ban asbestos, but unfortunately, this attempt was unsuccessful. As a result, approximately 1.3 million American workers are still at risk of exposure to asbestos as a part of their job responsibilities.
